Windows 7 Rsync error

Windows 7 Rsync error

Postby OKC_Allsky » November 29th, 2013, 6:43 pm

Hi all.

The Windows XP PC I've been using for the past couple of years died, so I rolled everything over to the main high-end PC until I can get a replacement.

Unfortunately, the latest Rsync does not like the i7, Windows 7 64-bit machine. No matter what I do, I get the text below.

Can someone aid me into getting this working?

Here's the text of the script.. The events directory IS correct.

@cls
@echo off

rem Rsync control

rem User config options below
rem -------------------------------------------------------------------
set localdir="g:/Sentinel/events/"
set remotedir=~/Data/events
set file_list=rsync_file_list.txt
set username=node17
set hostname=skysentinel.nmsu.edu
set rsync_flags=-vrtz --max-size=50M --timeout=60 --no-R --files-from=%file_list% --chmod=u+wrx,g+r,o+r
rem -------------------------------------------------------------------

echo Generating list of files to transfer.
find %localdir% -type f -mtime -14 -print > rsync_file_list.txt
echo List created and saved to %file_list%.

echo.

echo Executing: rsync -e "ssh -q -i .ssh/id_rsa -o UserKnownHostsFile=./.ssh/known_hosts -o PreferredAuthentications=publickey" %rsync_flags% /. %username%@%hostname%:%remotedir%
rsync -e "ssh -q -i .ssh/id_rsa -o UserKnownHostsFile=./.ssh/known_hosts -o PreferredAuthentications=publickey" %rsync_flags% /. %username%@%hostname%:%remotedir%

I'm running mine on windows 7

Here's the same portion of my rsync script

set local_dir="/cygdrive/E/events"
set remote_dir="~/Data/events"
set package_dir=/cygdrive/C/rsync_package_node24/rsync_package
set ssh_path=/cygdrive/C/rsync_package_node24/rsync_package/ssh.exe
set file_list=rsync_file_list.txt
set username=node24
set hostname=skysentinel.nmsu.edu
set rsync_flags=-vrtz --max-size=50M --timeout=220 --no-R --files-from="/cygdrive/C/rsync_package_node24/rsync_package/%file_list%" --chmod=u+wrx,g+r,o+r
Try modifying your local_dir paths to those shown (replacing my E with your G)
see if that works?
